2 tons (4,000 lbs) of disposal is included. Anything over that is billed at $90 per ton, based on the scale ticket from the disposal site. You only pay for the actual overage.
Typical household and remodel debris (drywall, wood, furniture, carpet, brush) almost never reaches 2 tons in a 10 yard.
Dense materials fill the weight limit long before the bin is full, so dirt, concrete, brick and rock aren't allowed in this dumpster. Use the 10 yard heavy duty, which includes 3 tons.
Shingles are accepted with a per-ton shingle fee on top of the rental. Shingles are heavy and can reach 2 tons quickly, so the 10 yard suits small roofs like sheds and porches. For a full house roof, the home page recommends the 20 yard.
Historic homes with plaster and lath (King William, Monte Vista, Dignowity Hill) weigh more than modern drywall. Heavy plaster and lath projects may need the 10 yard heavy duty for its higher weight limit.
